So, Billboard Magazine has released it’s own “10 Greatest Rappers of All Time” list, annoying some leaders and audience members of the hip-hop community.

Honestly, at first glance, besides Snoop’s comment, you spot the fact that honorary hip-hop legend Tupac is nowhere to be found on the short list. In Tupac’s defense, not only was he one of“greatest”, of all time, he was one of the most memorable artists of the largest hip-hop era that America has seen.

Lauryn Hill is addressed as a female rap artist, the word play, the imagery, the overall impact to the female rap category is all there. But can anybody truly name more than one song of Lauryn’s where her rap skills were exhibited and that was impactful (Other than Doo Wop, even though this my girl)?

A lot of people can’t, and in my eyes, since Billboard is a popularity measurement tool, this list is just that. A measurement of how popular these artist’s were, but we all know that’s not how you measure who was the greatest and who wasn’t.

My opinion of this list is that it’s incredibly inaccurate and I wouldn’t agree with it at all.

What do y’all think? Who would be on your list?
