Not too long ago, Bruno Mars was killing the music game with hits that everyone loves like 24K Magic, Finesse, and That’s What I Like. Now he’s on tour. Most of the tour was scheduled for Bruno to be the only performer. With an exception of twelve shows, where Cardi B was scheduled to perform with him. The new mommy has been at the top of the charts for a minute with back-to-back hits, like Bodak Yellow and Be Careful. Unfortunately, Cardi B recently tweeted her cancellation on the 24k Magic Tour. According to Cardi’s tweet, she “underestimated this whole mommy thing,” initially giving herself only six weeks after her birth to Kulture to join Bruno on the tour.

The tweet read, “As of today I’ve decided I won’t be joining Bruno on tour this fall. I thought that after giving birth to my daughter that six weeks would be enough time to recover mentally and physically. I also thought that I’d be able to bring her with me on tour, but I think I underestimated this whole mommy thing. Not only am I just not ready physically, I’m not ready to leave my baby behind since the doctors explained it’s not healthy for her to be on the road. I hope you guys understand that this decision has been the hardest to make but I have to do what’s best for myself and my baby! Thank you Bruno for being so supportive and understanding.”

Honestly, I think it’s totally understandable. I’m sure she was told by other moms that she might not be able to jump back into the swing of things, but she figured otherwise. I’m glad she came to that decision for herself and for her family. Most people let their money get the best of them. The only artist that I know that quickly jumped back into her career after birth is Beyonce. Sooooo.

Bruno tweeted his response back to her public announcement about the cancellation in a genuine way. His said, “A Message for Cardi: Most important thing is you and your family’s health. I know the fans will understand. You are absolutely doing the right thing. I also know we’ll share the stage when the time is right. We love you Cardi and we will play Bodak Yellow every night in your honor. Please give your baby girl a hug from me and a hug on behalf of everyone on the 24k Magic Tour. Love, Bruno.”

That’s so sweet considering that Cardi B actually said that she would be returning to the stage for the 24K Magic Tour after cancelling the rest of her tour, according to USA Today. Bruno was very understanding. It is unclear if Bruno will be replacing Cardi B, but I think his reaction was exactly what Cardi needed in this time of decision making. Go ahead and take your time Cardi! We ain’t mad at ya and neither is Bruno!
