Charlie Murphy Reported Dead at 57 After Battle With Lukemia
Popular Stand-up comedian and Actor Charlie Murphy passed away this morning in a NYC hospital.
According to TMZ, Murphy’s manager confirmed his passing was caused by complications due to Leukemia. Murphy’s family members told TMZ they were shocked and thought that his health was improving; He had been undergoing Chemotherapy.
Murphy was not only a stand-up comedian and actor but he also Co-Wrote several movies with his younger brother, actor and comedian, Eddie Murphy; like “Norbit” and “Vampire in Brooklyn.” He co-starred in “Are We There Yet?,” “The Boondocks,” and “Black Jesus.” Murphy was famous for his co-starring on Comedy Central’s “Chapelle’s Show,” where he partied with Rick James and Prince.
Charlie’s wife, Tisha Taylor Murphy died in 2009 of Cervical Cancer. Charlie leaves behind 2 children.
