freedom-with-butterflyAs the month of June comes to a close I realize I am approaching my 2 year anniversary of my breakthrough. July 17,2015 was the day that I became a woman. I packed up my fears, uncertainty, doubt, bad energy and negativity and placed them all under the wheels of my Kia Forte. It was a little car with a lot of power, like me. Standing 5’4 but with the heart of a giant. I was leaving all of that in Illinois as I crossed the Georgia state line because I vowed that I would no longer fear the unknown. I made a promise to myself that I would take life by the horns and ride it until I got to where I felt like God wanted me to be. I vowed that I would follow His lead and believe that He wouldn’t bring this far to only get this far. So as we welcome July with open arms I’ll leave you with 5 ways to create a breakthrough in your life.

In no particular order, I pray that these revelations assist you in becoming the maven you always said you would.

Quitting that “good job” at 27 and go after your dream can and will be difficult. But you must think back to when you were a child and people asked you “What do you want to be when you grow up?” If at any point you never said that you wanted to spend you life working for someone else, helping them live out their dream it’s time to go. Now I’m not saying go into work today and tell your supervisor to kiss your tush. Please especially you all with children, don’t do that. What I’m saying after you work your 9-5, go back to that apartment you hate and plan out what you want. Write it down, visualize it for yourself, put your positive energy and affirmations into the universe and then make power moves to go after it.

My uncle is very clairvoyant ( he can see things of the future) I didn’t believe it initially either until he started saying things were going to happen and low and behold they did. So I took what he said to me and ran with it. The small stuff could be anything, that job you hate could lead you to the best opportunity you would’ve never found if you weren’t there. That bus you take to get home may have your next business partner on it. Like me with the platform I write my book on. It’s free, but my piece is out into the world and my readers are on the edge of their seats waiting for a release date.

2 words, be intentional. Say out loud to yourself and anyone who will listen what you want from life.

Be sure that you are knowledgeable about the past, that way you can never imitate it. Find good ways to utilize what others have gone through make their struggles comprehensive and parallel to those that you suffer through. Ask questions about their fight and be open enough to not judge, but learn from them.”History is too often neglected as a source of breakthroughs.” is a quote I found from another blogger. Learn how to hustle. Our black single moms are the epitome of hustle. Unbeknownst to us they put it all on the line to ensure we never went through what they have and we owe it to them to do better than what we know.

This is probably one of my biggest hangups. For one I’m the definition of antisocial. I talk to my few select people about what I go through and if I don’t feel like talking to the them, I just don’t talk at all, but that’s a lonely road to nowhere. Trust me. As smart as you know you are, it is impossible for you to learn by talking to yourself about your own experience. Be willing to accept vulnerability into your life and watch it change your outlook on just about everything. Listen to comprehend, not to respond! That should be in the Bible because it’s truly scripture. Those of us that are educated feel like no one knows more than we do, therefore they cannot tell us anything. Wrong again. Experience is the best teacher, ask and you shall receive what you never knew you needed. There’s so such thing as a dumb question. Oh and the older the better.Wise people know they can’t predict who or what will provide the best lessons in life.

Your breakthrough is literally on the other side of those “What ifs? And Shoulda, Coulda, Wouldas” These 5 things are going to mentally allow you manifestation. Take care.

With Love,
