By now, it’s pretty clear that “Jimmy G. Buckets” and the “G” stands for GETS. (There’s even a shirt that says so, and I bought it, so now, it should be very clear.)

If anything is clear, though, it’s that Jimmy Butler has been straight fire these last few games. But, with Rose in New York, there’s one question on everyone’s mind: is he our new MVP? Fans sure seem to think so. During Butler’s 52-point performance against the Charlotte Hornets on Monday night, “MVP” chants rang throughout the United Center. In the Bulls’ 118 to 111 win over Charlotte, Jimmy went 15/24 from the field, accompanied with 12 rebounds, 6 assists and 3 steals. (By the way, 9 of those rebounds, the 6 assists and the 3 steals, were all accumulated with 6 minutes left in the 3rd.) Still don’t believe he’s giving MVP vibes, take a look below at the shot that sealed the victory, with less than 35 seconds left in the 4th quarter.

In fact, Butler’s All-Star performance and MVP numbers, seem to remind the franchise of a very specific, former, MVP of theirs, and Hornet stakeholder… Take a look below.

Then, NBA TV with the receipts!

Well Jimmy, I’ve got two words for you: GO CRAZY!
