At 45 years-old, Mike Epps recently made his mother’s dream come true by simply finishing his high school education. On Friday of last week, Epps reveled on his Instagram account that he joined the Class of 2016 at Arsenal Technical High in Indianapolis, where he finally received his high school diploma.

In a speech, Epps was candid about his accomplishments and offered encouraging words to the students.

Of course it wouldn’t be right without a little comedic humor, look at the pic below of him and his granddaughter which he captioned on Instagram:

Ok last one. Just when I thought I was doing something why my grand baby look at me like… Nigga now you know damn well you ain’t graduate with the class of 2016. ??? #kidsknowthetruth#getoutmyface #thissomebullshyt #unclebuck #June14 @abcunclebuck #Nevergiveup

Epps is set to star on ABC’s “Uncle Buck” sitcom, which premieres on June 14 at 9 p.m. He will also star as Richard Pryor in a biopic opposite Oprah Winfrey. Congrats to him on all of his future success.
