[Music Spotlight] We Gone Ride By Dreezy Ft. Gucci Mane
This song has been out for a long while y’all, but I just refused to listen for some reason.
The song doesn’t have me jumping like a new mixtape, but I do want to give Dreezy credit for a couple things.
- The song features Gucci. Between Future and Gucci Mane, I don’t know who has all the reign over trap music in the South when it comes to these two. But for Dreezy to be working with Gucci s a big deal.
- She been working! At the end of the day I just want to recognize that she did have a track on the radio during the summer and I’m sure a child was conceived to that song. It was like new RnB with a 90s RnB instrumental. But even before that, she had a track with 21 Savage called Motorcycle. It’s really sexually suggestive but Dreezy still gets thuggish.
- Not letting anybody stop her. As far as popularity goes, Tink is more known that Dreezy because of Timbaland. Period. End of story. But that means nothing to Dreezy because as far as work ethic they are in the same class category. I love them both. But what I dislike is how Chicagoans act like we can’t like both. Girls can compete and still be cool y’all!
We Gone Ride in particular is about being cool with yo A1 Day1 ’till the end. It’s the street version of Bestfriend. I just wish Gucci would’ve made his verse about his homies and not about the usual money bragging. Nonetheless it’s listen worthy, and the video is enjoyable. Watch below!
