DJ Khaled is really coming hard with the music this summer. We The Best Music is definitely going to be the culprit of many of this summer’s anthems.

He’s back again with a new joint called “I Got The Keys” (the major key, of course) and Future and Jay-Z hopped on the song and I must say this was a really dope collaboration.

All three of these guys are great artists and the visual to go long with this track is definitely as good as the track, you can tell they all put their input and effort into the video and ended up with a really dope vision.

What I love most about this song is the fact that this a great mixture of the old and the new. You have the classic rapper, Jay Z, on a track with Future, one of the most popular rappers of the 2010s, and what they created together is art.

The way this song and video is constructed is really cool too, because you have Future on the chorus, which will automatically make this song a must have on the turn up playlist, but in the verses the song calms down a little while Jay Z talks about some very real topics spitting lines like ” ‘Til you own your own you can’t be free/ ‘Till you’re on your own you can’t be me/ How we still slaves in 2016?” and “Y’all know the difference right?/ From rap, facts, and fiction right?”

I really appreciate what was done here because the track and video is what many would call “woke” as it addresses police brutality and the current state of the criminal justice system, while at the same time having such a bumping beat and hook that will make people wanna listen. I actually think more artists should take this approach to their music on certain topics. Me, personally I don’t feel that talking about serious things in a lighthearted song lessens the seriousness of the topic, it just brings it to a new audience in a very unique way and I’m totally here for it.

How do you guys like the video and what do you think of what Jay-Z said?
