The way things have been going for the people around you may have an effect on you and it should. But whether or not it’s a positive or negative is completely up to you. The problem that I see lately is that people allow those who flex for social media to dictate where they feel like they should be in life. Wrong. Absolutely incorrect.

The internet and platforms like Facebook, Twitter, and Snapchat are filled with people showing you what they only WANT you to know. No one deems it necessary to show the struggle pictures because hey, that’s not fun or interesting enough. And of course I get it, but thats simply what it is.

So it does you no good to go hating on people who you preceive to be doing better than you. That’s exactly what they want you to think. Hold your head high in your journey, only the strong MINDS survive. I always think that saying should be altered. It’s easy to be physically strong and push through lifes obstacles, but can you mentally fight? That’s where it counts. When you see that same young lady you went to school with who looks happily married with 2 children at 26, are you happy for her? I mean genuinely happy? Or are you secretly wondering, where is your husband and why you don’t have the children you dreamed about yet?

These are questions you need to ask yourself and really be honest in your evaluation. Take a step away from social media tonight and write down 5 goals you want to smash in 2018. The year is literally up the street and if you haven’t started planning for it, then you’re already behind. It’s so easy to turn your nose up at people who don’t go out or don’t yearn for a relationship until you ask them why and actively listen. Many, myself included, are focusing on a dream. Now, don’t mistake me, I love my man, but he is an ASSET to my life, nothing less. Ladies and gents if that is not the case, do not hold tight to them as they will only hinder you and slow you down. Be humble and focused in your solitude and ferocious in your grind. But please whatever you do, don’t hate on someone you THINK is doing better than you. It’s not worth it.

We’ll chat.

With Love,
