I don’t think anyone is clueless when it comes to the classic denim button up..male or female. I’ve seen this styled in many ways. Wrapped around the waist, tied up, and my favorite way…paired with more denim. The denim button has become a necessary item to have in your closet.

I was on Instagram one day and I kept seeing this picture of a denim top, but it wasn’t the average denim top. It was a pair a jeans transformed into a denim top….YES a pair of jeans. This picture went viral! I had never even thought that was possible to turn a pair of jeans into a wearable top. This original picture came from a young woman’s Instagram (denimnpearls) , located in Indianapolis.

I love denim soooo I decided to bring out my inner designer and put my own creation together. I went to the thrift store and bought a few pairs of jeans to test it out own. I bought a pair that was my size, a size smaller, and a size bigger.  Of course the first pair I tried was terrible and I became discouraged when the second pair turned out horrific! I was down to the denim that was smaller than my normal size. This time I took my time and strategically cut along the seams of the jeans and the rest was MAGIC! I was so proud of myself…I’m no seamstress, but if you have that urge in you…you can make anything happen! I created this look with just a pair of scissors!

IMG_8123  I also created a short sleeved version. 🙂

I’m not the only one who saw the blue jean top and went crazy. TheNuVogue created her own version as well.

Outfit Tip:

Not really into trying to figure out how to make this top…Don’t worry! There’s a wonderful alternative to this look. There has been a new wave of women taking a fitted blue jean jacket and wearing it as a top. The next time you’re trying to figure out what to wear for a causal night on the town. Try pairing the denim jacket with a pair of jeans or a fitted skirt.

I am a 25 year old from 219, Indiana. I love shopping for pieces that are different and that I know nobody else will have! But one thing I hate about shopping is going broke doing so. Throughout the years of me working in retail, I have picked up a lot of tips and tricks for saving LOTS of money when shopping. I also go against trends by Vintage shopping. I find pieces that I can pair together to create works of art. You can call me a penny pincher, but I'll look BOMB while pinching my pennies :)
